Timothy J.
McGrath
Tim
McGrath earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1965
and a Juris Doctor Cum Laude from The
Ohio State University in 1969. He is
an OSBA Certified Specialist in the practice of Business, Commercial and
Industrial Real Property Law and has been honored as an Ohio Super Lawyer, 2008
in his practice area of Real Estate Law.
His area of practice emphasizes all phases of real estate, and includes
probate, estate planning and business law. He
is one of a few
Ohio
attorneys experienced with representing appraisers before the Ohio Real Estate
Appraiser Board. He is a member of
the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations and has held several chairman
positions with the Columbus Bar Association.
He is a Member of the Ohio Real Property Law Specialty Board and served
for seven years as a Member of the Franklin County Board of Zoning Appeals.
Mr. McGrath served for more than 15 years as adjunct professor teaching
Real Estate Investment and Business Law at
Capital
University
, Graduate School of Administration. He
has also instructed real estate courses at
Franklin
University
and is a seminar presenter on real estate topics for attorneys and real estate
professionals.
He is co-author of the article “Ancient Remedies Solve Modern Problems:
Adverse Possession” recently published by the American Bar Association,
Real Estate Litigation Committee. He
is a former real estate appraiser and consultant and was a real estate title
examiner, title insurance agent and officer at Ohio Title Corporation.
